R&D

Currently working on a 3D environmental scanning and immersive media project that will enable viewers to navigate through my late artist grandmother’s home, which no longer exists as a physical space. This project explores preservation and memorialization through the lens of personal history.

Say Her Name

An interactive portrait commemorating Sandra Bland and confronting her wrongful death, a project conceived of by Nailah Davis. Using sensors and a speech recognition script, the piece relies on the viewer to stand in front of it and actively speak her name for her image to become fully visible. Each time Sandra Bland’s name is said aloud, it’s printed on a growing scroll as a visual record of the viewers’ collective remembrance.

Made in collaboration with Nailah Davis and Elizabeth Peréz
